As college students, there can be a lot of pressure that may lead to
feeling overwhelmed, depressed, isolated, anxious and more.
Maybe there are more minor concerns like falling behind in class, missing classes, procrastination and test anxiety!
Maybe you’re experiencing more moderate or serious concerns. Major signs of this often are difficulties with simple self care and your typical coping mechanisms just aren’t working anymore. This can lead to withdrawal, serious academic concerns, problems with mood, avoidance, problems in friendships/relationships/family relationships, and even really negative thoughts like not feeling good enough to make it through college or even feelings of worthlessness. Maybe you are also trying to deal with things of the past that are standing in your way right now too!
College is a major transition in life! Expectations are high to perform well, you have more responsibilities than ever before that you are trying to learn how to manage, and you are trying to develop into a more independent adult identity.
